This research was undertaken to identify the barriers and facilitators that older rural people experience when they access, assess, and act on information as well as make choices about services provided through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Home Care Packages (HCP).

The study includes in-depth interviews with rural older people and the use of a modified Delphi method to identify priorities for better supporting older persons’ decision-making. The project will be submitted to the Royal Commission in Aged Care, Quality and Safety.
