PC2 LABORATORIES AND CO-WORKING HUB FOR LIFE SCIENCES INNOVATION

La Trobe University’s Bio Innovation Hub is a purpose-built PC2 laboratory and office facility to support the growth of life sciences businesses. The Hub provides access to PC2 laboratories and shared equipment, enabling you to focus your resources on research and development in a community of like-minded companies, leading academic researchers, a future workforce and world-class research infrastructure.

CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE FOR INDUSTRY

Location

Located on Level 3 of the Eagleworks Innovation Centre and within the core of the Bundoora campus. Adjacent to La Trobe Institute of Molecular Sciences that houses our comprehensive research platforms and support services.

PC2 Laboratories

The Bio Innovation Hub comprises 1,000 m² floor space with 12 private laboratory suites (20m² – 60m²), open plan benches, and shared spaces within a PC2 certified environment.

Shared equipment

Access to shared equipment including centrifuges, microscopes, biological safety cabinets, fume hoods, CO2 incubators, PCR machines, balances, spectrophotometers, autoclaves, and LiqN2 cold storage 4˚C/-30˚C/-80˚C/-196˚C.

La Trobe Platforms

Access to La Trobe core research facilities and platform technologies. Access to La Trobe Stores and Library services

Amenities

Private offices, dedicated desks, and free hot-desking, dedicated laboratory support team, all PPE provided, 24/7 access, security and monitoring, secure storage, a shared kitchen, the La Trobe Library and unlimited internet access
