Department of Professional Practice and Wellbeing Infrastructure
We operate across six La Trobe University campuses, ensuring that students across Victoria and NSW have access to local on-campus and online experiences and opportunities.
Our hybrid model enables aspiring and current educators to access high-quality learning wherever they are, as well as placements close to home.
La Trobe's Melbourne (Bundoora) campus is home to the newly launched Education Practice Lab – a purpose-built space where future teachers and education partners can explore evidence-based pedagogy in a contemporary learning environment. The Education Practice Lab brings together teaching practice, research and industry collaboration in a single, dedicated facility designed to bridge the gap between theory and classroom reality.
At Bendigo, La Trobe's largest regional campus, education students benefit from purpose-built facilities and strong connections to regional schools and communities.
Our presence at Albury-Wodonga, Shepparton and Mildura campuses ensures that students in regional and rural Victoria can access teacher education locally, supported by dedicated staff and close ties to surrounding school communities, helping us to build the teaching workforce where it is needed most.
In Sydney, La Trobe's campus provides a base for us to support NSW students and programs such as Nexus that work with schools across state borders.
Across all locations, our facilities support a model of teacher education that is embedded in practice. Students learn in spaces designed for collaboration, observation and reflection, with access to the teaching tools and technologies they will encounter in schools. Our physical presence across metropolitan and regional settings reflects our commitment to preparing teachers in the communities they will serve.
