Train and bike
Bikes can be carried free of charge on just about any train in Victoria, including all metropolitan and V/Line services.
The combination of bike and train travel can help you access most areas of Melbourne. It's a faster way to use public transport, as it removes the need for long walks and infrequent buses.
Note: On metropolitan services, cyclists should not use the first door of the first carriage as these areas are used for passengers with mobility devices such as wheelchairs.
- The Melbourne campus is connected by a bike lane to Reservoir Station (a 15 minute cycle) and a path to Macleod Station (a 10 minute cycle).
- The Bendigo campus is only a 10 minute cycle from Bendigo Station.
