Scholarships
Current and future students at Sydney Campus can receive scholarships which recognise academic performance and previous relationships with the campus.
La Trobe University values academic excellence. High achieving International students thinking about applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate course will be automatically considered for this scholarship.
The La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS) rewards high achieving International students. This scholarship is worth between 20% to 30% off the annual tuition fees for the duration of studies.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to start an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
- Be a new International student applying for 2023/2024 intakes.
- Be a full fee-paying student (Non-sponsored).
- Not available to humanitarian or other permanent visa holders.

*WAM = is an average mark that takes into account the credit point value of the subjects that you have completed. It is based on the actual mark of all subjects completed in your course at any given time.
**No application required. Applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship after submitting an application for Bachelor or
Master courses at the Sydney campus. The scholarship will be reflected on the student's statement of account after the census-date once the student has accepted the offer, paid the required deposit mentioned on the offer letter and enrolled into their course. Scholarships are limited and valid only for eligible degrees.
How is it paid?
This scholarship will be applied as a discount to tuition fees for each subject studied for the entire duration of the course. Recipients are required to meet all conditions (if applicable) outlined in the Letter of Offer and accept the offer by paying the required deposit before the scholarship can be applied. Please note: Failure to meet condition(s) and pay the acceptance deposit on time may result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.
Recipient Obligations
Maintain a full-time enrolment in one of the La Trobe University campuses in Australia and satisfactory academic progress during the studies.
Recipients must be full fee-paying international students and must meet the University’s academic and English language entry requirements
at the commencement date of their course.

La Trobe University Sydney Campus offers a range of Study Support Grants for Foundation and Diploma students. Eligible students must commence their studies in Trimester 2 or Trimester 3 in 2023.

Scholarship places are limited and awarded to students in order of offer acceptance
- Meet all applicable conditions outlined in your course Letter of Offer.
- Accept your offer by paying the acceptance deposit listed on your Letter of Offer for your principal course and return your completed Offer Acceptance Form.
- You must commence your course at La Trobe University Sydney Campus by the date listed on your Letter of Offer to secure your scholarship.
