You can host a university student on placement in your organisation. By partnering with us, you'll help students gain practical industry experience. Mentor a student
Strengthen your leadership skills and expand your networks by mentoring a La Trobe student through our online Career Ready Industry Mentoring Program. La Trobe provides all mentors with a structured online program with access to online resources and step-by-step guidelines. The program is flexible and designed to meet the needs of busy professionals.

Our community and partner connections
My exporting business to Malaysia had been up and running for two years before I attended the La Trobe Accelerator Program (LTAP). I had the idea, I was already running the business, but I didn’t know how to run the management side of things – I was seeing the money come in but I needed to know more. When I joined the LTAP program it really helped me. I developed business skills that I would not have otherwise. After 12 months, sales accelerated beyond what I could have imagined – I serve about 3000 customers and spend $20,000 each month in my local community. I want to encourage all of Shepparton to join this program.
I am passionate about social work and wanted to expand my knowledge. Everything that I learnt from speaking with Lauren and shadowing her was totally related to what I want to get into. It opened up so much for me. At Uni you gain knowledge but you need to be in the field to really know it. It has given me confidence to go into the field – I can approach it with the benefit of having first-hand experience.
