Lauren Mitchell | Senior Manager, Clinical Trials Platform With a background as a Research Nurse Coordinator, Lauren brings extensive experience in coordinating and overseeing Phase 1 to 4 clinical trials. Her expertise spans across various clinical areas including Lung Transplantation, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Oncology. Prior to joining La Trobe University, Lauren was managing the Oncology Clinical Trial unit at Monash University’s Eastern Health Clinical School. Rashmi Bhatt | Database Specialist, Clinical Trials Platform Rashmi holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science and a Clinical Research certification. She has 10 years of professional experience in the Clinical Data Management industry, working with various CROs. Her expertise lies in clinical data management and database building for end-to-end interventional trials in the areas of Cardiovascular, Oncology, Osteoarthritis, and Hepatitis. Meera Senthuren | Project Co-ordinator, Clinical Trials Platform Meera has a background in science with over 15 years of research experience in various fields across institutions in Melbourne and London. Her research experience spans areas across Oncology, Gene therapy, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Public Health and Clinical Quality Registries. In the last eight years, Meera has held roles as an Ethics and Governance Officer at Austin Health, Western Health, The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) and La Trobe University. She has also worked as a Site Ethics Submission Officer for clinical trials and was involved with auditing of investigator-initiated trials during her time at Western Health. | m.senthuren@latrobe.edu.au |
Joanne Kemp | Academic Director, Clinical Trials Platform Associate Professor Joanne Kemp is an NHMRC Emerging Leader Fellow at the La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre and is the Academic Director of the La Trobe University Clinical Trials Platform. She is also a Sport & Exercise Physiotherapist with 30 years of experience and an editor at the British Journal of Sports Medicine. She has over 140 publications and more than $13 million in research funding.
