Every Moment Has Potential teaches frontline staff what is Active Support and how to do it. Active Support is an evidence-informed staff practice designed to improve a person with intellectual disabilities’ quality of life by increasing their engagement in purposeful activities and social interactions. The training resource has videos that demonstrate good support and how to apply the 4 essentials of Active Support.

FRONTLINE PRACTICE LEADERSHIP

This training resource teaches frontline managers how to do Practice Leadership and its five tasks. Good Frontline Practice Leadership is associated with better quality staff support. This training resource has videos that demonstrate the tasks of Practice Leadership, which include team meetings, observing and giving staff feedback, supervision, allocating and organising staff support, and focusing staff attention on quality of life.

SUPPORT FOR DECISION-MAKING PRACTICE FRAMEWORK

The Support for Decision-Making learning resource teaches how to support a person with intellectual disabilities to make decisions. It introduces and explains an evidence-informed framework to that can be used to support people with intellectual disabilities to exercise choice and control in their own lives. The training resource includes videos and exercises to explain Support for Decision Making and the seven steps of the framework.
