Understanding Teletrials

Teletrials represent an innovative model for conducting clinical trials, where a network of health service organisations collaborates under the guidance of a Principal Investigator at a primary site. The Australian Teletrial Program Victoria provides comprehensive support to facilitate the startup and implementation of teletrials in Victoria including expert advice, assistance with startup activities and administrative requirements, as well as financial support through the Teletrial Support Program (TSP).

Listen to Heidi Hassan, Senior Project Officer at the Regional Clinical Trial Coordinating Centre, as she presents the program and the support available to researchers. Associate Professor Alison Kennedy, Director of the National Centre for Farmer Health at Deakin University, will share her experiences with a community-based teletrial involving a farming population in regional Victoria.
