In-person workshop at the Bouverie Centre, Brunswick
Workshop style
The workshop will be a combination of teaching presentation, observation, and live demonstration. The workshop will include input from our students, an "in vivo" demonstration, and a discussion exploring the possible neurobiological explanation of its effectiveness.
What will you learn?
- Describe the steps of the “Stuck Case” process
- Understand the context required for effective outcomes
- Identify themes and trends in the history of family therapy training that address the Self, of the therapist, and “stuck” points or aspects of practice
Identify the elements thought to be the foundational to “transformational change” - Understand broader implications and applications for family therapy practice, supervision, and teaching
- Integrate these elements into your teaching and/or clinical practice.
Relevant audience
All mental health clinicians/therapists (public or private) working with families, or with the potential to include families in their service delivery.
