Rainbow Health Australia invites you to the launch of the Pride in Prevention Program Guide: A guide to programming for primary prevention of family violence experienced by LGBTIQ+ communities.

Like all of us, LGBTIQ+ people deserve safe and respectful relationships with their partners, families and communities. To make this vision a reality, important work is already underway to prevent the violence that LGBTIQ+ people unfortunately continue to experience, but there is a lot more to be done.

The new Program Guide provides valuable support for the expansion of this much-needed prevention work. It presents clear and practical guidance for prevention projects that focus on, or include, LGBTIQ+ people and communities. The Program Guide builds on the previous Pride in Prevention guides to support you in the design and implementation of effective LGBTIQ+ primary prevention programs.

Join us for the online launch event to unpack the new guide and discuss the future of LGBTIQ+ primary prevention with:

  • Opening remarks by Joe Ball, Victorian Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ Communities
  • Keynote address by Sophie West-Browne, Global Lead - LGBTIQ+ Human Rights, UN Women
  • Panel speakers:
    • Eloise Layard, Acting Director Community Health, ACON
    • Dr Adele Murdolo, CEO, Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health
    • Carolyn Gillespie, CEO, Women’s Health in the North
