Accommodation applications for placement students
Student accommodation in Ballarat, Melton, Mildura and Shepparton are homes among residential areas with ease of access to regional life and amenities. These homes cater mostly for placement and dentistry rotation students, as well as students doing regional courses for a semester or year.
See below for a step-by-step process to submitting an accommodation application for placement students (non-Dentistry/Oral Health).
How to apply
1. Start your application on our Applications webpage.
Choose the campus/location you want to live at.
2. Select your stay period and dates
Your start date must be at least five days away.
3. Enter all required personal details and accept Terms and Conditions
Name, gender, date of birth, nationality, etc.
4. Submit your application
5. Receive your conditional offer
Once your application is reviewed and eligibility requirements are met, you will be sent a conditional offer outlining next steps
6. Follow the steps outlined in your conditional offer to activate your account and accept your offer
If you have any issues accepting your offer or have questions, contact our office at lalreservations@latrobe.edu.au before the offer expiry date listed in your Conditional Offer email.
Important notes
Please be aware that until you have completed the above steps, we are unable to secure your place in student accommodation. Any incomplete acceptance of this offer may result in your offer lapsing after the due date, and this room type no longer being available.
- Please ensure your application is submitted and the above listed steps are completed at least two weeks prior to your requested check-in date. If this deadline is not adhered to, we cannot guarantee you a room.
- Only students from La Trobe University, the University of Melbourne, Monash, Deakin, and the University of Sydney (Broke Hill) are eligible to apply for students accommodate at Living at La Trobe.
- Students applying for Mildura accommodation can now purchase linen during the application process, with packs delivered to their room prior to arrival.
Access to your house and bedroom will be activated on your student ID card.
If you do not yet have your student ID at the time of arrival, temporary access will be arranged. This includes a PIN code for house entry and/or a temporary fob or access card for room entry.
Once your student ID card is issued, Security will activate it for both house and room access. Temporary PIN codes will be cancelled and any temporary fobs or cards must be returned.
