Finance Division

Responsibilities of the Division

Finance Division provides a professional financial management framework for the University through high quality service and advice to faculties and commercial areas. The Finance Division is responsible for:

a) Debtor management and controlled disbursement of the funds of the University.

b) Development and maintenance of University accounting and financial systems.

c) Providing a range of financial and accounting services for the University, including taxation, e-commerce, banking, cash flow monitoring and investment portfolio management.

d) The provision of financial and accounting policy.

e) Financial advisory support to management, boards and committees of the University.

f) Reporting to Finance and Resources Committee in support of the sound financial management of the University.

g) Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and other government regulations.
