TAFE Study Support Bursary
Background
La Trobe University is offering ten $5,000 one off payments to eligible students completing a TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma at one of the following courses:
Kangan Institute, Bendigo TAFE, Box Hill Institute, or Melbourne Polytechnic. These scholarships are designed to support students who have experienced disadvantage during their TAFE studies and are planning to continue their education at La Trobe University in Semester 1, 2027, by enrolling in an eligible course.
Please note: The following La Trobe University courses are not eligible for the scholarship: (insert list of courses).
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be completing a Diploma or Advanced Diploma at one of the following TAFE Institutions:
Kangan Institute, Bendigo TAFE, Melbourne Polytechnic OR Box Hill Institute. - Preferenced an eligible La Trobe course through VTAC
- Submit an Equity Schemes (SEAS) and Scholarships application through VTAC. SEAS and scholarship applications are open from August to October. Include your VTAC ID in your application.
- Have experienced disadvantage during your TAFE studies.
- Plan to accept and enrol in your La Trobe course offer.

Applications will be assessed based on any financial, medical and/or educational disadvantage experienced during your TAFE studies.
Eligible applicants will be assessed using the information provided in their VTAC Equity Schemes (SEAS) and Scholarships application.

Successful students will be notified at the end of January 2027
