How is it paid?

$5,000 per year for the normal duration of full-time study (including honours). Payments are made in two $2,500 instalments following the census date each semester.

Background

The La Trobe University Regional Pathway Program has a powerful impact on the participation of regional students in higher education. The McCall MacBain Pathways Regional Leader Scholarship will identify ten talented future leaders from among the Pathway graduates to receive $5,000 per annum for the duration of their undergraduate studies. Scholars will receive leadership development, mentoring, industry networking and other transformative extension opportunities.

The McCall MacBain Foundation was founded in 2007 by John and Marcy McCall MacBain. The Foundation is committed to initiatives in three key areas: education, climate change and health. The Foundation believes that strong, dedicated and creative leadership of individuals and organisations are required to achieve positive outcomes.

Are you eligible to apply?

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

To be eligible for the McCall MacBain Pathways Regional Leadership Scholarship, students must:

•Be enrolled with the aim to complete the La Trobe University Regional Pathways program

•Have been accepted into a La Trobe undergraduate / Bachelor degree course at any campus

•Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa


Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:

application form addressing the eligibility criteria.

Recipient obligations

If shortlisted, applicants will need to be available to attend an interview on the afternoon of Monday the 26th of February with the Scholarship panel.

May be required to attend promotional events and participate in promotional activities in keeping with the spirit of the scholarship.

Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
