Leslie Kilmartin Regional Bursary
Background
This bursary is administered by the Bendigo Tertiary Education Anniversary Foundation and was established from an initial donation by Professor Leslie Kilmartin upon his retirement as Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of La Trobe University, Bendigo in September 2003. Professor Kilmartin indicated a preference to support students from regional Victoria, who may not have previously had the opportunity to enter university and who are undertaking their first university degree at the Bendigo Campus.
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in at least two subjects as a first year student commencing undergraduate (university) education for the first time
- Be enrolled at the Bendigo Campus in 2021
- Not have undertaken any full time education in the past two years (2019 and 2020). Students who have undertaken VCE or TAFE full time in the past two years are not eligible.
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- Quality of response that explains how this bursary will make a difference to you
- Quality of response that illustrates why you have chosen your course
Recipient obligations
The successful applicant will agree to have their name published as the recipient of the bursary and will agree to attend the Bendigo Prize Ceremony in 2021.
