La Trobe University has a bold ambition to transform research, education, and student support by applying an ‘AI-first’ approach, supported by a new partnership with Microsoft Australia and New Zealand and leading cyber security provider CyberCX.
Artificial intelligence is one of the most transformative fields in technology today. Be a part of this exciting future with our Artificial Intelligence scholarship which provides a 50% reduction in annual tuition fees for international students enrolled in any of the following courses for Semester 2 or Summer 2025, covering the full duration of their studies:
- Bachelor of Computer Science
- Bachelor of Commerce (Data Analytics major)
- Bachelor of IT
- Bachelor of Science (AI)
- Master of Artificial Intelligence
- Master of Business Analytics
- Master of Business Information Systems (AI in business)
- Master of Data Science
- Master of Digital Health
- Master of IT (AI)
- Master of Quantum IT
Are you eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to start the program from Semester 2 or Summer 2025.
- Not be a humanitarian or other permanent visa holder.
- Be a full fee-paying student (non-sponsored).
- Be applying for direct entry into any of the courses listed above. Other students are not eligible.
- Commence their study at any of the La Trobe University Victorian campuses in 2025.
- Meet the University’s English requirements and all other conditions stated on the Offer Letter.
- Obtain an offer letter before selection for the scholarship. Exceptions must be approved by La Trobe University. All students must have passed Genuine Student assessment, including financial checks before they can be considered for this scholarship.
- Complete the following application form in full:
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- Outstanding academic performance (minimum WAM* requirement 70).
- English language proficiency.
- Written statement received in the application form.
The final number of successful candidates will be determined through a thorough evaluation process and confirmed by La Trobe University.
*A WAM is an average mark that takes into account the credit point value of the subjects that you have completed. It is based on the actual mark of all subjects completed in your course at any given time.
Recipient obligations
- The scholarship cannot be deferred to 2026. If the recipient is unable to secure a student visa for 2025, the scholarship offer may be revoked.
- Recipients are required to maintain full-time enrolment at La Trobe University and demonstrate satisfactory academic progress throughout their studies.
- Please refer to the Offer Letter for full terms and conditions.
- Recipients will be required to participate in International Scholarship Program events during their studies in Australia.
How to apply
Please note that this scholarship will not be automatically considered.
Eligible applicants will need to submit an application for their desired course(s) and intake and be in receipt of an unconditional offer prior to applying for this scholarship.
