If you are looking for something fun, active and different for your group, we have an alternative.

Our programs are tailor-made to suit the specific requirements of each individual group. We co-ordinate wet and dry, indoor and outdoor activities which can be recreational, educational or competitive. Participants are able to develop many sports-specific skills in a fun and safe environment.

Popular activities

  • Water Safety – La Trobe’s Water Safety Program is designed specifically to help students build a basic level of water safety knowledge and improve their confidence and ability in the water.We offer programs catering to all ages and swimming abilities and our qualified instructors have combined experience in swim teaching, water safety, life guarding and lifesaving.
  • Kayaking- If you’re looking to diversify your groups skills in the water and have some fun as well, scheduling a kayaking session at La Trobe’s Indoor Sports Centre is the ideal choice. With options for all ages and abilities, younger or if some in your group is less confident, they can learn the basics of paddling on our easy sit-on-top kayaks. For more confident group users aged 14 and above, we offer lessons in deep water entry, safe kayak exit, paddling techniques, and basic rescues using our sit-in kayaks.
  • Rock Climbing- Introduce your group to the exciting world of rock climbing – now an official Olympic sport – at LaTrobe’s Indoor Sport Centre. Active and fun, these sessions can be delivered as once-offs or across multiple weeks, teaching unique skills that can only be gained outside the classroom. Our 10m-high outdoor rock-climbing wall is available for recreational sessions for children 8 years and over, providing an exciting opportunity for them to try something new and build confidence.
  • Health & Fitness- La Trobe Sport is dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of all members of the community through our range of health and fitness offerings, with something for everyone! Introduce your group to a commercial gym with the assistance of our Gym Instructors or take part in a group-based high intensity class. For a different challenge, try our dedicated Reformer Pilates and Yoga Studios to teach your group the importance of both the body and the mind.
