PARTY INCLUSIONS
- Birthday Party Break Down: 1 hour of court-based sports / 30 minutes of food and cake / 1 hour of aquatics-based activities

FOOD
You have 30 minutes in our party room to fuel up, sing happy birthday and enjoy cake! We are fully catered so all you have to bring is the cake! Food includes:
- Selection of pizzas (ham and margherita)
- Lollies
- Cordial
- Popcorn
Please note regarding outside food:
- If you wish to bring additional food it must be no more than two platters
- Alcohol is not permitted
- Smash cakes are not permitted
We can cater for most allergies and dietary requirements (e.g. gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian) but we require one week minimum notice to allow us time to cater accordingly. All food served is nut free.
Please note: We endeavour to meet all dietary needs and avoid any cross-contamination, but due to shared equipment we cannot guarantee that our food is free from all traces of allergens.
AQUATICS
After fuelling up in our party room we have one hour in our indoor heated pool! We offer set activities based on age and swimming ability.

We welcome children under seven for our Sports & Aquatics parties however they will be given a lifejacket for the aquatic component of the party. Additionally, for any children age five or under, one parent/guardian per two children (1:2) is required to enter the water and actively supervise, ensuring both children are at arm’s reach at all times in accordance with our facility policy, Watch Around Water.
At the beginning of the aquatic session, our leaders will conduct a swim test of all children where they must swim 25m and tread in deep water. If a child cannot adequately complete the swim test, they will be required to wear a lifejacket for the duration of the aquatic session.

We want to make your time for food and cake as smooth as possible, so we provide the following. We will also take care of all clean up so that’s one thing less to worry about!
- Table and Chairs
- Plates, Cups, Cutlery and Serviettes (for food and cake)
- Knife to cut cake
- Fridge/freezer space for food that must be kept cool or an ice cream cake
- Party bunting and decorations

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No, we are not a licensed venue. Alcohol cannot be brought into or consumed at our facility. Failure to follow direction on this matter may result in your party guests being asked to leave and your booking forfeited.
Our pool is a lap lane pool, not a children’s wading pool so children should be capable swimmers who are confident in deep water. The shallowest point of our pool is 0.95m deep, gradually sloping to 1.8m deep in the middle, we also have a deep water pit that is 2.5m deep.
At the beginning of the aquatic session, our leaders will conduct a swim test of all children where they must swim 25m and tread in deep water. If a child cannot adequately complete the swim test, they will be required to wear a lifejacket for the duration of the aquatic session. The lifejacket won’t hold them back from any of the activities or having fun, but it will help keep them safe!
If majority of the party guests are quite young or weak swimmers, please consider booking a party without aquatics. Information can be found above under our Sports Birthday Party (age 5+).
We welcome children under seven for our Sports & Aquatics parties however they will be given a lifejacket for the aquatic component of the party. Each party is 2.5 hours, starting with one hour of sports, half an hour for food and cake and finishing with one hour in the pool.

Sports & Aquatics Birthday Party (age 7+ recommended)
Our parties with aquatics are recommended for children aged 7+. The sports activities can accommodate a variety of ages however children who are not strong swimmers or not confident in deep water may struggle with the depth of our pool.
We welcome children under seven for our Sports & Aquatics parties however they will be given a lifejacket for the aquatic component of the party. Additionally, for any children age five or under, one parent/guardian per two children (1:2) is required to enter the water and actively supervise, ensuring both children are at arm’s reach at all times due to our facility policy Watch Around Water.
If the majority of the party guests are quite young or weak swimmers, please consider booking a party without aquatics. Information can be found above under our Sports Birthday Party (age 5+).
Sports Birthday Party (age 5+)
Our Sports Parties do not include any aquatics. For this reason they are the perfect choice for children aged 5+ years or those who aren’t interested in the pool component!
A party of 12 children will have one party leader. Larger parties will have additional staff according to our ratio, which is one staff to 12 children.
The same ratios apply to our aquatic activities, and the party leader will be in the water during the activities. Any children 5 and under require an adult guardian in the water. All activities in our pool are also supervised by a lifeguard.
At least two adults are required to assist in the supervision of children throughout the party. If possible, we ask that parents assist children in the male and female changerooms.
Sports & Aquatics Birthday Party
You only need to worry about bringing the guests and cake (candles and lolly bags optional)! We have all the plates, cutlery, knife etc. taken care of as well as a freezer if you want to bring an ice-cream cake.
Children should wear clothes and shoes appropriate for sports and running, as well as bathers, towel, goggles and any seasonally appropriate items (e.g. coat in winter or hat and sunscreen in summer).
We take care of all the decorations! Our staff decorate the party room with bright and colourful 'Happy Birthday' signs, cups, plates and bunting.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited and must not be brought into or consumed at our facility.
If you wish to bring extra food, this is permitted but a maximum of two platters is allowed.
Please note, use of our kitchen is not permitted by any persons except for La Trobe Sport staff to maintain food safety and hygiene standards.

During the dry activities and lunch time you’re welcome to take photos but please note photos are not permitted during the aquatic component. This is to protect children from having photos taken of them in a state of undress as well as to protect the privacy of other public pool users.
Any photos taken must include members of your party only. Please be mindful not to capture public users in the background of any photos taken at our facility.
Sports & Aquatics Birthday Party - Indoor Sports Centre
The La Trobe Indoor Sports Centre is best navigated to by using Google Maps and selecting Car Park 6 on Ring Road as your destination, this is the closest car park to the centre. Parking is free on weekends, but please park in the white bays.
Sports Party Birthday – La Trobe Sports Park Stadium
The La Trobe Sports Park is best navigated to by using Google Maps and selecting La Trobe Sports Stadium as your destination. You can park in Carpark 1, 2 or 2A. Parking is free on weekends. If you park in Carpark 1 or 2, you will need to use the pedestrian crossing on Kingsbury drive. If you park in Carpark 2A (paved) or 2C (gravel) you may need to walk from the back of the building to the front entrance. Please allow plenty of time to park and navigate to the building as it’s a large facility.
Parents of guests are welcome to attend, but they have to go where the party goes! This means as the children move through the facility for the dry activities, lunch and aquatic activities, the adults follow.
We only cater for the children attending the party. If you would like to bring something for the adults you can bring finger food that doesn’t require any cooking or preparation. Parties have previously brought snacks like fruit and vegetable platters, sushi, antipasto platters etc. Alcohol is strictly prohibited and must not be brought into or consumed at our facility.

We do not provide tea and coffee. There are cafes in the Agora, which is a short 5-minute walk if you’re looking for a caffeine hit!
Our packages are minimum spend. Even if you have fewer children than your selected package, you will be charged the full package price.
If your guest list is in between package sizes, we recommend booking your maximum. For example, if you have 18 children we recommend booking the 20 child package.
Final details and final payment are due 7 days prior to your party date.
