Any researcher or organisation is welcome to apply to use these panels through our application form. Approval of panel involvement is at the discretion of panel convenors. The application form represents the start of a conversation with panel convenors, and individual panels may have additional requirements.
Researchers wishing to involve members of one or more panels should complete the application form, with reference to the payment guidance. Panel convenors will review requests, and approval of panel involvement is at their discretion of panel convenors. Please allow at least 2 weeks for panel convenors to respond.
La Trobe University has a pilot scheme to assist La Trobe University researchers pay for panel access when developing a grant application. More information is available here, you must have a La Trobe email to access this.
Yes, there is a fee to access this service, this will be discussed with you as part of your application.
No- panel members reserve every right to decline and also to step away if they no longer wish to participate.
No, not necessarily - this is a guideline for suggested rates only. It may be more appropriate to provide a lump sum to an organisation, for instance, rather than individual payments. Please discuss options with the panel convenors.
This is at the discretion of panel convenors and depends on the established practice for each panel.
The Research Performance team will reach out with a survey for researchers and panel members to determine the efficacy and value of the involvement.
