Located in the heart of the Melbourne Campus in Bundoora, Eagleworks is dedicated to fostering industry engagement, research impact, and entrepreneurial success.
To support La Trobe staff and researchers, Eagleworks offers Drop-In Sessions - a flexible, informal way to access expert advice and explore opportunities in commercialisation, funding, business development, and more.
These sessions are designed to provide tailored guidance without the need for a formal appointment. Whether you’re looking to clarify uncertainties, explore new ideas, or learn about the resources available at the University, the Drop-In Sessions create a welcoming space for open dialogue and actionable insights.

Business Development Drop-In Sessions
These sessions are tailored to help researchers connect and collaborate with industry. Topics include:
- Assessing industry interest and responding to enquiries
- Preparing for external meetings and understanding NDAs
- Securing industry partners for contract research and grants like AEA Grants, CSL RAI Accelerator, and more
- Engaging with strategic partners and building long-term collaborations.
Commercialisation Drop-In Sessions
These sessions focus on turning ideas into impact through commercialisation. Topics include:
- Protecting ideas and navigating intellectual property (IP) policies
- Exploring funding opportunities like the Proof of Concept Fund and Eagle Fund
- Understanding licensing, spin-offs, and venture creation
- Accessing support for commercial grants such as AEA Innovate Grant and CUREator.
