Opportunities for industry involvement include, but are not limited to:
The La Trobe University Industry Solutions Project pairs your organisationwith multi-disciplinary student teams. Students will unpack and solve real world problems and deliver innovative, tailored solutions for your business. Ownership of all IP is assigned to the industry partner.
Host a two-day Innovation Sprint working on your businesses real-world challenges. Organisations mentor sprint teams, and offer expert feedback that strengthens the relevance and impact of student solutions. This involvement gives industry partners early access to emerging talent, fresh perspectives on industry problems, and innovative concepts they can explore further. Any student‑generated IP developed through these sprints remains with the partner company.
Industry partners may participate as mentors or coaches, guiding early-stage founders, sharing commercial insights, and helping participants refine their business models and go-to-market strategies. This engagement positions partners as leaders in the innovation ecosystem, while giving them visibility into new ventures, technologies, and potential collaboration opportunities.
The AI Innovation Ventures Program offers industry partners a direct pathway to shape the next generation of AI talent while gaining early access to emerging ideas, prototypes and entrepreneurial thinkers. By collaborating with multidisciplinary student teams, industry leaders can test real‑world challenges, explore AI‑driven solutions tailored to their sector and influence how future graduates are trained. Projects align United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
