Join us for a community event sharing insights from the Taageero Hore study - a research project focused on sharing the experiences of immigrant and refugee communities in Australia, particularly East African children and families, throughout the autism diagnostic and support journey. The study also aims to strengthen community understanding of autism and improve pathways to culturally responsive support.
This event will bring together researchers, families, community leaders, and organisations to share knowledge, and reflections on how to better support children and families.
Event Format
The afternoon will include:
- Research presentations sharing key findings
- Community discussions sharing lived experiences
- Information booths where organisations can share services and supports
- Dedicated networking time to build connections and collaboration
Invitation to Organisations
We warmly invite organisations to attend and host an information booth. This is an opportunity to:
- Share your services and programs with immigrant and refugee communities
- Connect with immigrant and refugee families, particularly East African communities
- Build partnerships with researchers and other service providers
- Contribute to a culturally responsive support network
