The Care Economy Research Institute (CERI) with sponsorship from the Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council (VMIAC) invites you to join us for a Lived Experience led project update on the Factors Affecting Community Treatment Orders Research Study (FACTORS).
FACTORS explores why Community Treatment Orders (CTOs) affect some groups more than others and why their use varies by location. As the first study to examine the broader policy and legal impacts of CTOs, it aims to inform efforts to reduce coercive practices. This event is led by the Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) of the multi-disciplinary FACTORS team.
The LEAP plays a key role in the project, helping researchers understand the lived experiences
of those affected by CTOs. Its members include consumers with CTO experience, family members, carers, and peer workers from across Australia.
This event aims to bring together experiences and reflections of the members of the Lived Experience Advisory Panel within FACTORS and is open to all; our lived experience peers, families/carers and allies.
