The thing I loved about my subjects is you can just get lost in them. I found my passions. At the risk of sounding cliché, it really opened up a whole new world and certainly broadened my horizons. An arts degree just opens so many doors.

I was determined to study Education after leaving high school, but I didn't get into the course I wanted. I sat down with a course adviser at the Shepparton Campus to work out another way of achieving my goal. And that's how I came to study a Diploma of Arts. It helped me to gain entry and also gave me some credit points in the Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education. There’s always somebody in the university who will sit there and take their time just to help you – all you have to do is ask. If I put in effort, the people who helped me put in more effort too.
