Student support

We are committed to providing a supportive and enriching experience to help you succeed.

Our dedicated academic, professional and support staff provide a range of services to support you.

Student ambassadors

If you'd like to get involved with your campus, you can join the La Trobe Host Program. Hosts help future students, facilitate workshops in high school, and have fun assisting at events like Open Day. Being a student ambassador also gives you access to various departments within the university, as well as industry mentors.

Whether you are a current or future student, our Ask La Trobe hub can help you during your studies. From enrolment to your graduation, this team assists you with everything you need to know throughout your journey with La Trobe.

Student learning

The PLAs are high-performing students who can assist you with planning and writing assignments, referencing, presenting to others and time management. Book an appointment with a PLA or find out about upcoming workshops available for students via the Learning Hub.

Indigenous student support

Our Indigenous Academic Enrichment Officer supports you with course applications, enrolments, advocacy and accessing tutors and mentors. The team works closely with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school students to help plan their pathway to further study. For more information, see the Indigenous Strategy and Education website.

International student support

We have a dedicated staff member on campus to assist you with your study experience while in Australia. Our International Student Services Coordinator provides one-on-one support and guidance. Read more about studying at La Trobe as an international student on the International Students website.
