La Trobe University is unable to provide on-campus accommodation to arriving international students who are required to self-isolate.
Arriving international students required to self-isolate must book private accommodation that has private bathroom and kitchen facilities.

On-campus accommodation - duration of studies
All enrolled international students, whether arriving in Australia or currently onshore, are eligible to apply for the International Student Accommodation Grant to receive a 20% discount on weekly rent when a 6 or 12 month contract to live on campus is signed. Find out more below.

At our Melbourne Campus, 35% of residents living in on-campus accommodation are international students.
Once you have accepted an offer to study at La Trobe and have booked your accommodation, all La Trobe international students enrolled at the Melbourne (Bundoora) and City campuses are eligible for a free airport pick- up.
Students enrolled at regional campuses will be reimbursed up to $60 per person for the cost of the journey – please keep your receipts and provide them to ASK La Trobe at your regional campus.

Where possible, Living at La Trobe will provide eligible international students with temporary accommodation for a period of one to three weeks when they first arrive at the University. The rate charged for transitional accommodation will be equivalent to the daily rate of the residence in which they will be temporarily located.
A transitional offer can only be made when and where we have available and suitable accommodation options.
To be considered eligible, you must be:
- an international student who has been in Melbourne, Victoria for 14 days or less
- commencing full-time study with La Trobe University and/or its affiliates
- not on a study exchange or equivalent program.
