Welcome to Molly Kennedy, who has joined the School of Nursing and Midwifery as Senior Lecturer, Nursing – First Nations Health.
Molly brings extensive experience in First Nations health, nursing education and community-engaged practice, and will work closely with students while helping strengthen the School’s curriculum and strategic work in cultural safety, equity and improved health outcomes.

As a proud nurse and Trawlwoolway woman I am committed to strengthening culturally safe pathways for First Nations nursing and midwifery students, and build the cultural capability of staff that will continue to shape a future nursing workforce where First Nations nurses are supported, valued, and able to thrive, to ultimately improve health outcomes”
Her appointment reflects the growing importance of Indigenous leadership in nursing and midwifery education, and the role universities play in preparing graduates to deliver culturally safe, high-quality care.
