School Early Career Alumni Award for Physiotherapy

Congratulations to Kennedy Lay who has received the School Early Career Alumni Award for Physiotherapy.

Kennedy Lay is one of Australia’s most innovative young healthcare entrepreneurs and an outstanding example of how allied health professionals can reimagine service delivery to create meaningful social impact.

A graduate of our Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Physiotherapy Practice programs, Kennedy has combined clinical expertise, entrepreneurial vision and aviation training to address one of the nation’s most persistent health challenges: unequal access to healthcare in regional and remote communities.

As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fly2Health Group, Kennedy pioneered a unique model in which allied health professionals are flown directly to communities where essential services are unavailable or difficult to access.

“I am privileged to be a La Trobe Allied Health Alumnus; this reflects the higher education I received and how it shaped the early-year fundamentals that allow me to succeed in health business now,” said Kennedy.

Kennedy represents a new generation of allied health leaders whose creativity, courage and commitment to service are transforming lives and challenging traditional models of healthcare delivery.

He is an outstanding ambassador for La Trobe University and a highly deserving recipient of the Early Career Alumni Award.
