Run La Trobe is La Trobe Sport's annual community movement event, designed to champion physical and mental wellbeing and foster connection across the entire La Trobe community.
In 2026, Run La Trobe will continue its trajectory towards becoming a signature community event with a series of format expansions and event enhancements designed to showcase La Trobe University as a place where health, community connection and belonging thrive side-by-side.
For the first time in the event’s history, Run La Trobe will be held on a public holiday to increase participation accessibility for families and the wider community. Positioning itself on one of Victoria’s biggest sporting weekends, Run La Trobe 2026 will be taking place at La Trobe’s Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus on the AFL Grand Final Public Holiday, Friday 25 September.
Run La Trobe 2026 will offer four distances for participants - a 1km Kids Run, a 5km Walk, a 5km Run, and a 10km Run. The event will feature a professionally delivered run course with official timing, a La Trobe School Holiday Camp program for school age kids while parents run, an event village with partner activations and entertainment and finish-line celebrations.
For the first time, participants will also have the opportunity to pre-order Run La Trobe merchandise — including items such as hoodies and caps — as part of the registration process, with orders available for collection during race week.
