Run La Trobe (RLT) Move Squad Campus Ambassadors are the face of active, connected campuses. Through regular walks, runs and local events, RLT Move Squad Ambassadors help turn physical activity into a shared campus experience one step at a time.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’re calling on walkers and runners of all abilities from every La Trobe campus who:
- Enjoys being active (no elite pace required!)
- Likes bringing people together
- Want to represent La Trobe in their local community
This is about participation, positivity and presence - not performance.
WHY THIS MATTERS
- Builds community - Creates regular welcoming opportunities for people to connect
- Activates campuses - Encourages healthy habits and visible movement on campus
- Strengthens local ties - Connects La Trobe with community walking and running events
- Supports wellbeing - Physical activity + social connection = better student and staff experience
WHAT AMBASSADORS WILL DO
Each RLT Move Squad Campus Ambassador will:
- Lead a regular walk or run group on their campus (weekly or fortnightly)
- Represent La Trobe at one local walking or running event
- Capture and share activity (photos, short posts, Strava screenshots, etc.)
- Support a local cause, with optional fundraising for a nominated local charity
RLT Move Squad Campus Ambassadors will be supported every step of the way - this is not a solo effort.
HOW LA TROBE SPORT WILL SUPPORT AMBASSADORS
RLT Move Squad Campus Ambassadors receive:
- Guidance and resources from La Trobe Sport
- Simple templates for promotion and activity tracking
- Coordination support for local events and charity links
- Ongoing check‑ins and recognition throughout the program
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
All Run La Trobe Campus Ambassadors will receive the following:
- Free La Trobe merch
- Free registration to a local walking or running event
- Free registration to participate at Run La Trobe on Friday 25 September (AFL Grand Final public holiday) at the Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus
- For those based at our regional campuses, free on-campus accommodation before Run La Trobe on Thursday 24 September with thanks to La Trobe Business Services team
- Leadership and community engagement experience
- A chance to shape campus culture and wellbeing
- Serious good‑vibes energy
