Congratulations to Bachelor of Laws (Honours) graduate, Hammad Shahin, and Juris Doctor graduate, Madelyn Hellyer, who have been recognised for their outstanding academic performance by the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Hammad and Madelyn were presented with their awards at a ceremony held in the Supreme Court Library on 18 August 2026.
Professor Lorne Neudorf, Dean of La Trobe Law School, said the Supreme Court Prize is awarded to the highest performing law students.
“Congratulations to Hammad and Madelyn, the top performing graduates from each of our law courses. Both have shown a strong commitment to the pursuit of justice. Past recipients of the Supreme Court Prize have gone on to outstanding careers in law, and I am confident Hammad and Madelyn will do the same.”
First awarded in 1864, the Supreme Court Prize is awarded to the top graduate in each Victorian law school.
