The School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences recently held its inaugural Cyber Clinic Day, bringing together students, academics, industry and government partners for a successful day of learning about cybersecurity.
Held at La Trobe University’s Eagleworks Digital Innovation Hub as part of Cyber Security Awareness Month, the event was designed to help not-for-profit organisations, charities, community groups and small to medium enterprises strengthen their cyber resilience.
Attendees heard from cyber security experts, including Ken Tan from the Australian Federal Police, who shared practical strategies to address emerging cyber security and AI-enabled threats.
Participants also received personalised support through one-on-one Cyber Health Checks, gaining practical advice and resources to better protect their people, data and operations.
Associate Professor Leanne Ngo said: "The future of cybersecurity is built on people and partnerships. As AI reshapes cybersecurity, human capabilities matter more than ever. Our vision is to grow a collaborative ecosystem where future cyber leaders learn, industry gives back, and communities become safer and more cyber resilient."
Thank you to our speakers, partners and everyone who contributed to the success of our inaugural Cyber Clinic Day.
