Congratulations to Professor Emmanuel Kuntsche, Director of La Trobe’s Centre for Alcohol Policy Research (CAPR), who has been appointed to the World Health Organisation’s Technical Advisory Group on Alcohol and Drug Epidemiology (TAG-ADE).
This is a significant honour not only for Emmanuel, but also for CAPR, the School of Psychology and Public Health, and La Trobe University. Only 18 experts from around the world were selected to join TAG-ADE, following a highly competitive process. The group plays a vital role in advising WHO on global monitoring of alcohol and drug use, their health consequences, and the development of evidence-based policy responses.
"It’s a privilege to contribute to the global effort to better understand and respond to the health impacts of alcohol and drug use. I look forward to working with colleagues from around the world to support WHO’s mission and bring evidence-based insights to international policy." - Professor Emmanuel Kuntsche
