Simultaneous with launching into the 2025 academic year, we congratulate our 2024 students, who now embark on the next chapter of their careers following the successful completion of their respective postgraduate studies in the Graduate Certificate in Family Therapy, Graduate Certificate in Family Therapy: First Nations, or Master in Clinical Family Therapy. We commend them for their dedication and commitment to their postgraduate studies. Our graduates will launch into their future roles confident in their newly acquired practical skills and knowledge of engaging with families effectively.

The graduation celebration at the end of 2024 joyously celebrated the learning and achievement of our postgraduate students, proudly cheered on by Prof. Jennifer McIntosh (Bouverie Director), Robyn Elliott (Senior Lecturer), teaching staff, and most importantly, their no. 1 supporters - their families.

The graduates have much to be proud of – they worked hard throughout the year studying systemic family therapy ideas and weaving this knowledge with Indigenous wisdom to enhance their practice with families. Many students spoke about the transformative impact of reflecting on the gifts and learnings that come from their community and families of origin, and how this has shaped their practice as healers with clients and families.

We know that this achievement is made possible with the support of the graduates’ partners, children, friends and work colleagues, so we extend a big thank you, too.
