Impact Strategy 2025–2029 launch at ONJCRI

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI) recently launched the Impact Strategy 2025–2029.

We were delighted to host the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI)’s Impact Strategy 2025–2029 launch event.

The event marked the start of a bold chapter in our mission to make a positive impact on outcomes for cancer patients.

We were privileged to include the Hon John Brumby AO, Minister Danny Pearson, and our patient advocate Lisa Briggs, as speakers at the event. All three are champions for the value of cancer research, and shared highly engaging stories with our audience.

Lisa Briggs provided the patient perspective from her lived experience of cancer, which is central to the work that will be undertaken over the next five years and beyond.

The Hon John Brumby, Founding Chair of ONJCRI and previous Premier of Victoria, launched the new John Brumby Impact Fund at the launch event. The Fund will make a huge difference to early-career researchers by providing them with funding to kickstart their research projects, at a time when grants are highly competitive.

This new strategy will guide ONJCRI in the direction of new diagnostics and cancer therapeutics that are more effective, more tolerable, and more accessible for all.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the Impact Strategy 2025–2029 launch event, shared insights, and celebrated this milestone with us.
