Un-Archived: 40 Years of Moat exhibition

Join us on 27 March for the launch of our newest exhibition Un-Archived, which brings together items from the Student Theatre and Film collection in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Moat Festival.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Moat Festival, the longest running University Arts and Theatre festival in Australia.

Moat Festival is a celebration of arts, culture and creativity, allowing students to share their skills and passion for the arts with the wider community. The festival was launched in 1984 by then Vice Chancellor John F Scott, with the vision of bringing community and students together in the celebration of performing arts.

To commemorate, the Library and University Archives, in partnership with the La Trobe Student Clubs team, are hosting the Un-archived: 40 Years of Moat exhibition, honouring four decades of incredible creativity and performance at La Trobe University.

Opening on Wednesday 27 March, you’re invited to see a unique collection of items including posters, photographs, film footage, original scripts and textiles.
