Research that makes an impact

We are thrilled to have our commitment to research that makes an impact on development policy and practice recognised in La Trobe University’s Research Impact for Sustainable Development 2022 Report.

Three of our projects received a special mention, including:

Our long-term collaboration with the Central and Northern Land Councils - led by Linda Kelly and Danielle Campbell with support from Alex Gyles and Allan Illingworth - supporting an Indigenous-led approach to understanding the impact of community development programs (SDG 8 Decent work and Economic Growth).

Our work on the DFAT-funded Developmental Leadership Program, led by Chris Roche, including research on disability leadership co-led by Elisabeth Jackson and Ekawati Liu (SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals).

Kayli Wild’s work on preventing gender-based violence in Timor-Leste, undertaken in collaboration with Guilhermina de Araujo, Angela Taft and Leesa Hooker (SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals).
