Partner with La Trobe to secure up $3m in matched government funding for industry-led research

The Cooperative Research Centre Project (CRC-P) scheme is a genuine industry-led funding initiative, aimed at helping businesses increase their capacity, grow and adapt in changing markets and solve problems impacting their sector through applied research. It is focused on research and development that will have commercial uses.

CRC-P grant programs are focused on research and development that will have commercial uses and provides short term (up to three years) matched funding of $100,000 to $3 million to support a research collaboration between at least two (2) Australian industry organisations and a research organisation.

Successful CRC-P typically include:

  • an industry led research project that enables the development of a product, service or process that will solve problems for industry and deliver tangible outcomes
  • outcomes directly benefit a Small-Medium Enterprise (SME)
  • includes education and training activities

La Trobe University is seeking to connect with potential industry partners who are interested in collaborating on a CRC-P submission. We are particularly interested in connecting with industry partners who operate in the food, agriculture, allied health, biotechnology and digital sectors where La Trobe has unique strengths.

Our extensive workforce development offerings also support the education and training component of CRC-P bids, through:

  • Industry PhD - Students undertake a research project that addresses real-world challenges identified by and of critical importance to the industry partner.
  • Industry Internship - Are offered to master's by research and PhD students in various disciplines through our collaboration with APR intern.
  • Work Integrated Learning - Work integrated learning helps students gain practical industry experience while studying, making them work ready.

Round 15 is expected to open July 2023 and close in August 2023 and Round 16 is expected to open February 2024 and close March 2024.
