Malaika Yadav Nakkala
Master of Information and Communication Technology graduate, Malaika Yadav Nakkala (pictured above), has secured a place in Telstra’s graduate program.
“I studied electronics and communication engineering as an undergraduate, and discovered an interest in networking,” says Nakkala. “I decided to pursue postgraduate studies at La Trobe because it is a world-class university, with fantastic facilities and a supportive environment.”
Nakkala honed her practical skills in a group-based industry development project. “It gave me the opportunity to put my theoretical learning into practice, and learn about different approaches to tackling problems through collaboration,” she says.
“The knowledge and skills I’ve developed will help me to bring innovation to telecommunication projects. Landing a job at the end of my studies is a dream come true. Eventually, I want to help improve telecommunications in my home city of Hyderabad, South India.”
