Business School rankings success

The La Trobe Business School has outstanding rankings for its courses, student experience and online offerings

Australian Financial Review BOSS 2022

Our Postgraduate Business and Management courses received a ranking of 26 in the Australian Financial Review’s BOSS rankings.

The La Trobe Business School received a reputation ranking of 17. The Australian Financial Review’s BOSS reputation ranking uses average scores in major rankings of whole institutions and their business-related offerings.

“The excellent ranking in our reputation indicates the high esteem the La Trobe Business is held in,” says Professor Aron O’Cass, Dean of the La Trobe Business School. “Reputation is a key community indicator and demonstrates we are held in high regard nationally.”

Academic Ranking of World Universities 2022

La Trobe University is now in the top 300 universities in the world – rising five positions to 296, making it the University’s best result since the Australian Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) ranking was established by Shanghai Ranking in 2003.

The ARWU ranks universities using several indicators of academic or research performance, including alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, highly cited researchers, papers published in Nature and Science, papers indexed in major citation indices, and the per capita academic performance of an institution.

For Hospitality and Tourism Management, the University received a ranking in the 151-200 bracket.

“Sitting in the ranking of 151-200 places the La Trobe Business School in the premier tourism management and hospitality programs globally,” explains Professor O’Cass. “The ranking demonstrates the high quality and high regard the program is held within both Nationally and Internationally.”
