Brought to you by the Right Pen Collective and proudly supported by La Trobe University Library, the 2nd annual Australian Muslim Writers Festival (AMWF) is coming to La Trobe in October.
Running from Friday 30 September until Saturday 8 October, AMWF will be held at Bundoora Library on Saturday 1 October.
This year’s theme ‘Our Table’ explores what it means for diverse writers to have a "seat at the table” in the Australian publishing world.
The event will feature Australian Muslim authors and panellists including the Journalists’ Table, chaired by La Trobe academic Nasya Bahfen, the Academics’ Table, chaired by Shakira Hussein, and AMWF’s inaugural poetry slam with award winning spoken word artist Sharifa Tartoussi.
