La Trobe Sport joins the 2021 Move for Mental Health virtual fitness challenge

La Trobe Sport is proud to announce its support of Bendigo Health Fundraising & Foundation’s 2021 Move for Mental Health.

Coinciding with Mental Health Awareness Month and World Mental Health Day, the 2021 Move for Mental Health Challenge is a virtual fitness and fundraising challenge for all abilities.

Throughout October, you can choose to walk, run, wheel, cycle or even CrossFit your way through the month-long challenge. Simply register, set your fitness and fundraising goals and share your progress online to encourage support and donations from your social network.

To assist participants with their fitness goals, La Trobe Sport is providing 100 free gym and fitness class passes which can be redeemed by providing a copy of a 2021 Move for Mental Health registration to staff at the Bendigo Sports Centre facility. Bendigo Health Fundraising & Foundation will receive a $5 donation for each free pass that’s redeemed throughout the 2021 challenge.

La Trobe Sport is also providing a four-month Signature Membership at the Bendigo Sports Centre for the female and male participants who raise the most funds and complete the most exercise activity throughout the 2021 challenge. For more information on all prizes visit: https://www.bendigohealthfoundation.org.au/event/move-4-mental-health/about-us.

All proceeds from the 2021 Move for Mental Health Challenge go to improving mental health services and providing specialised exercise programs for mental health patients in the Loddon Mallee region. These services are delivered by Bendigo Health, a leading regional health service, with around 4,000 staff and a catchment area covering a quarter of the size of Victoria.

To take part in the 2021 Move for Mental Health challenge, you can register here as an individual, a family or rally your work colleagues or friends to create a team. You can start working towards your fitness and fundraising goals as soon as you sign up.
