Summer research student stipends on offer for Albury-Wodonga campus

The Albury-Wodonga Research Working Group has announced funding has been allocated for research stipends available for undergraduate students this coming summer.

La Trobe University students have a unique opportunity to take part in a small research project under the supervision of one of the many talented researchers at the Albury-Wodonga campus.

Researchers have submitted small research project proposals that could be completed in a 4 - 6 week time period during December 2020 and January 2021 and these projects will then be advertised to undergraduate students.

Students will then be required to submit an application and nominate three projects of interest. Review of the applications will be performed by the AW Research Working Group and the top ranked students assigned to one of the projects they’ve nominated.

The stipends, worth $1,500, will be awarded to students across as many of La Trobe’s research disciplines as possible and offered to other campuses. There will also be a Research Symposium towards the end of the time period when the stipend students plus their supervisor will present their research project to the campus as a means of sharing our research culture.

The research student stipend booklet with research project proposals and application form can be found here.
