Club Corner: May 2020

They may have been sidelined due to COVID-19, but La Trobe University's affiliated sports clubs have remained busy during lock down by engaging with their members and followers through social media.

La Trobe Sport intern Alanna Mullan takes a look at a selection of content pieces produced by the Team La Trobe club community during lock down:

‘Around the World’ with LUSC

La Trobe University Soccer Club has remained connected through its weekly ‘Around the World’ posts that share the stories of a range of LUSC members who have joined the club from across the globe. The posts also provide an insight in to what members most love about the sport and the club.

Such is the popularity of the 'Around the World' series, it has also generated its own segment in La Trobe University International Student Services' online publication, the La Trobe Times.

LTU Hockey Club’s Weekly Challenges

LTUFC's 'On This Day' series has been particularly popular, with entertaining match reports from the corresponding day on the calendar proving to be a great way to engage with past players from a variety of eras and demonstrate the club's unique history.

The La Trobe University Cheer and Dance Club is keeping active during isolation by showcasing their members training at home. Some have even been working on some floor stunts from the comfort of their living rooms!
