Digital Health for Nursing and Midwifery in Australia is a growing online ‘living textbook’, recently launched on International Nurses Day 2025 to help educators teach critical digital skills and knowledge. The first four chapters are available now, with more in development. As an open educational resource (OER), it is available to all organisations, educators and students at no cost and can be adapted to local contexts. It explains foundational digital health concepts and grounds them in concrete practices through online learning activities.
The first four chapters focus on:
- Communication in the digital health context
- Digital safety and eProfessionalism
