- Read through the relevant information that you find and take notes. Make sure to record the sources of information you use for your bibliography/reference list.

- Using the notes you made while gathering information, write an initial draft of the assessment. Remember, a draft isn't perfect - concentrate on getting the information down and then work on getting it to fit your planned structure.
- Refer to the 'Academic writing' help guide for tips and strategies to improve the clarity and effectiveness of your writing.
- Make sure to paraphrase and reference your sources to avoid plagiarism.

Get feedback [Step 5 date]

- A PLA or ASA may be able to provide general feedback on a specific section of your assessment, however, they cannot read through the entire assignment or offer advice on its content.
