Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Service for other libraries
La Trobe University (LTU) Library can supply most items from our collections to libraries registered through Libraries Australia via our Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Service (ILDDS).
Libraries can submit requests via:
- Libraries Australia Document Delivery (LADD)
- email request (if unable to request via LADD).
More information is available on the Interlibrary Resource Sharing (ILRS) directory.
Note: We're unable to process email requests from individuals – please ask your library to make a request on your behalf.
LTU theses
Our institutional repository, OPAL, provides access to digital copies of theses where the authors have granted open access permission. However, access does vary depending on the specific thesis and the permission specified by the author.
Please check for a thesis in OPAL prior to submitting a request for a digital copy.
Physical copies of theses can be loaned within Australia, but only if LTU also holds a digital copy of them.
Note: We are unable to provide a thesis if it is currently embargoed.
Australian libraries can request both physical and digital copies of theses. This includes theses in our Library collections that are not available in OPAL.
Request process
-
Complete and return a copyright declaration form (Australia) [DOCX 73KB] to the ILDDS team.

Note: If you cannot pay through the LADD system, inform the ILDDS team and an invoice will be sent to you instead. -
