Wifi access

Wi-Fi at La Trobe University Library is provided via the eduroam network.

Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure wireless network available across La Trobe campuses and at participating institutions worldwide.

Connecting to Wi-Fi in the Library

You can connect to the eduroam network using your login credentials for your institution (La Trobe or other university/TAFE).

If access has been set up for you by a La Trobe staff member, you can connect to the LTUGuest network. Once connected, you will need to authenticate using your email address and the password that you were provided with.

If you do not have access, please speak with your primary La Trobe contact so they can set it up for you.

Public Wi-Fi access is not currently provided by La Trobe.

If you are visiting with your own laptop or tablet, you may need to use your mobile phone as a personal Wi-Fi hotspot.

Connecting remotely

If you are a La Trobe student or staff member and you need access to University systems while off-campus, you can connect to the La Trobe network using the University Virtual Private Network (VPN).
