Teaching is at the core of what we do, and we value and nurture our passionate teachers.
Our top priority is to create an outstanding student experience and to do this we need to ensure we provide an outstanding experience for our teachers.
Our teaching staff are supported and equipped to lead the charge. Our teaching academics:
- engage students in high impact initiatives that improve their learning experiences
- engage with the scholarship of learning and teaching through professional development and publications
- continuously improve their professional practice through the student, course and subject review processes

To meet our excellence principles, we rely on our academics to get the basics of high impact learning and teaching right.
We require staff collaboration and engagement with professional development and workshops to build capacity using support across La Trobe. The support services help build superior curriculum that leverages technology to enhance inclusive learning experiences. We also provide platforms to share and celebrate examples of teaching excellence and creativity.
